Welcome to Foundly! These Terms of Service set out the rules for using our lost property management platform. By using Foundly, you agree to these Terms.

We are Foundly Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. We provide digital tools that help organisations manage lost property and help customers reclaim their items.

We may operate internationally, but our headquarters and main legal jurisdiction is in the UK.

2. Who Can Use Foundly

  • You must be 18 years or older to create an organisation account.
  • If you are under 18, you may only use Foundly as a customer with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
  • By using our Service, you confirm that you have the legal right to enter into these Terms.

3. Our Service

Foundly provides:

  • Tools for organisations to log and manage lost property.
  • A public catalogue where customers can browse and claim items.
  • Support services to help reunite owners with their belongings.

We may update or improve features from time to time.

4. Accounts and Responsibilities

  • Organisations must register an account and provide accurate, up-to-date details.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account login.
  • All activity under your account is your responsibility.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts if these Terms are breached.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Foundly for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
  • Upload offensive, unlawful, or misleading content.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
  • Attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or misuse our platform.

6. Content and Data

  • Organisations remain responsible for the accuracy of the information and images they upload.
  • Customers provide information only when claiming an item; this is shared with the relevant organisation and handled according to our Privacy Policy.
  • Foundly does not claim ownership of user content but may temporarily host and display it as part of the Service.

7. Payments

  • Organisations may be required to pay subscription or usage fees.
  • Fees, billing schedules, and payment terms are displayed at the point of subscription.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Foundly owns all intellectual property in the platform, branding, and underlying technology.
  • You may not use our name, logo, or software except as permitted in writing.
  • User-uploaded content remains the property of the organisation or customer, but you grant Foundly a licence to display it as part of providing the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Foundly provides the Service "as is" without guarantees.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of lost item listings or the success of item reunification.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses.

Our total liability to any user will not exceed the fees paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

  • Organisations may close their account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse.
  • Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before the termination date.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify organisations of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are using Foundly outside the UK, you are responsible for complying with local laws.
